Day Services

Structured group activities that build confidence, skills and community.

Our Day Services are about introducing people to new experiences in a setting that feels safe and supportive. We run a rolling programme that includes photography, cooking, arts, money management, trips out, sports, gym sessions, hydrotherapy, and community integration work.

We review the programme regularly and adapt it, so people who come every week still find something new. We also spend real time on the softer stuff, challenging the social stigma around additional needs, building the confidence to advocate for yourself, and learning how to show up in the community as a full person.

Common questions

Can I come and look around first?

Yes. Come for a visit, meet the team, have a cup of tea. No commitment.

Do I need a social worker to refer me?

Not necessarily. If you have a personal budget or direct payments, you can come to us directly. If you are not sure, get in touch, we can help you work it out.

What does a typical day look like?

Arrival and a catch-up, a morning activity, lunch together, an afternoon activity or outing, then a wind-down. It is a rhythm, not a rigid timetable.

What about staff ratios?

It varies by activity and by person. We agree the right level of support in your initial plan and review it regularly.

What if Day Services is not working for me?

Let us know early. We will talk it through and find the best way forward together. Sometimes that is a different activity, a different day, or a change in how a session runs. Sometimes the group setting is not the right fit, and if Community Enabling or something else suits you better we will help you work that out. Our commitment is to deliver the support set out in your plan, and we will keep doing that while we work things through with you.
